Abstract Aisha Ivey’s research involves documenting the migration of American old time fiddling from the Appalachian region throughout the southeastern United States. Ivey’s research also focuses on documenting stylistic variables, bowing patterns, repertoire, influences, and learning styles in an effort to understand the dynamics of the tradition's migration.
